Rev. William Walsh Jr. LCPC-C

Rev. Walsh is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor-Conditional (LCPC-C) in private practice.  Bill’s treatment methods are integrative and eclectic employing Cognitive-Behavioral, Rational-Emotive and Psychodynamic approaches, Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR), as well as Mindfulness Practices and Systems Theory.  Bill will help clients with relationship problems, personal growth, anxiety, depression, life transitions, sex lives, sexual orientation and gender identity, adolescent problems, blended families and legal issues along with physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.

In addition to his private practice, Rev. Walsh is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and pastors a local church.  In this capacity he is able to offer clients the opportunity to integrate their faith beliefs and understandings in their mental health counseling.  Bill’s goal is to treat the whole person in all of their created wonder and beauty.  As such you are invited to present your whole self in treatment without fear of the need to avoid difficult or challenging aspects of one’s self.  Rev. Walsh believes that no one should ever feel they must leave a part of themselves outside the building when they come to him for treatment.

Rev. Walsh conducts workshops and seminars in the Assessments/Management and Treatment of Sexual Offenders as well as the Integration of LGBT people into the life of the church.  He is a member of the American Counseling Association and its Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling division.  Bill earned his Master of Divinity degree at Bangor Theological Seminary.  Bill earned his Master of Science Degree in Pastoral Counseling and Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Husson University.

In his spare time, Rev. Walsh enjoys bicycling, hiking, travel, restoring old homes, street ministry, and mission work in Central America.
